prophetking@gmail.comI don't know what to tell you.
I'm a kitchen witch. If there's one thing I am absolutely adamant about, it's that the mundane is sacred.
I am a henotheist: I believe in the existence of many deities, and believe that they are all worthy of worship, but I only worship one right now. I am also, weirdly enough, a monist: I believe in a world-soul, that not only are all deities facets of one deity but all of us and indeed the entire universe are parts of one great being. I do not find these views incompatible: if I can believe I am not you while also holding us both to be part of a greater world-soul, why can I not view the gods in the same way?
I have a divine patron, who has refused to reveal much about itself to me, except its grin, its sense of humor, its insistence on "it" and a lack of special capitalization when referring to it, and what it wants me to do, at least for now.
It wants me to keep an open door, as it were. Anyone can come to me, deity, spirit, or mortal, and tell me their story, or indicate to me that they wish me to find their story, and I am to collect it. I am not (yet) a storyteller - I am a story-collector. For anyone, of any pantheon or affiliation, who wishes to have me collect it.
This livejournal is mostly a repository for my religious thoughts, the stories I collect, the occasional weird essay, and various aspects of my witchery (like my recipes, which my mom has been pressuring me to write down in some form for ages).
Other stories, some sacred, some just me puttering, can be found at the webpage listed in this profile.
If you intend to comment, which I heartily welcome, I expect you to have read the entries under this tag first. Any comments that show you haven't will be summarily deleted.
